Leave room for expansion
Puff changes the shape of the printed area. Tight lettering and small counters may close up, so approve the artwork at its final scale rather than reducing it later.
Add dimension to a sweatshirt or tee with a rounded print effect. Let the artwork, fabric and approved sample determine the right amount of lift.

Puff printing creates a raised, often rounded ink effect as a compatible puff system expands during curing. It is commonly considered for bold lettering and graphic shapes on suitable tees and sweatwear. Fine detail, expansion, colour and wash appearance must be approved on the selected fabric.
These are approval points for your specific garment. Materials, techniques, minimums and timing are confirmed in the written order brief.

A large filled panel feels different from a small chest mark. Compare the hand and flexibility with the intended garment fit, including how the print sits across folds.
If the design mixes ordinary ink with puff, assess the registration, contrast and cure compatibility as one finished design. Keep the physical sample as the production reference.

Follow the approved decorated garment label. Avoid pressing directly onto the raised surface unless the approved instructions specifically allow it. Review flexibility, profile and appearance after sample laundering.
Keep the approved sample and specification together. Review any change in fabric, artwork, trim or finishing before repeating a production run; a previous approval does not establish that a different combination will behave identically.

A compatible puff ink system expands during its curing process. The selected system, deposit, artwork and processing determine the result, which needs to be approved on a physical sample.
It can suit bold hoodie graphics on a compatible face fabric. Review the printed area for hand, flexibility, profile and appearance with the hoodie worn rather than only laid flat.
Very small letters and narrow gaps can lose definition as the ink expands. Send the artwork at its intended dimensions and approve any adjustments before the sample is accepted.
Yes, subject to a compatible process. Agree which areas should rise and inspect the registration, colour and final hand of the combined design.
No. Puff is one specific raised effect. High-build ink and other dimensional decoration routes may produce a different profile, edge or surface feel.
Suitability must be tested on the selected fabric and placement. A raised print may not move comfortably with a highly extended panel; a smaller mark or another process may be more appropriate.
Use the approved care label, protect the raised area from unnecessary abrasion and avoid unapproved direct ironing. Check the sample after the same laundering expected in use.
Include the shape, intended raised areas, print size, garment colour and a side-view reference if the profile matters. Agree the final result through the physical sample.
