Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing uses an inkjet process to print artwork onto a garment. It is a useful route to discuss for detailed cotton T-shirts and selected sweatwear. The exact fabric, pretreatment, ink and curing process must work together; approve the print on the actual garment before bulk.
These are approval points for your specific garment. Materials, techniques, minimums and timing are confirmed in the written order brief.

A screen preview does not show the ink hand, garment texture or how a white base changes the colour. Review a printed sample in normal light, including fine text and gradients.
Agree a care process for the garment and print, then review the sample after washing. Record the approved artwork version and position before the full size run is made.
The same method is not automatically suitable for every garment. Use these starting points to discuss a practical fabric, fit and finish combination.

Use the approved garment and print care label. Assess wash appearance, hand and colour on the decorated sample; do not select washing or drying temperatures from the term DTG alone.
Keep the approved sample and specification together. Review any change in fabric, artwork, trim or finishing before repeating a production run; a previous approval does not establish that a different combination will behave identically.
Our quality approval approachPractical answers for preparing the garment, artwork, sample and order brief.
DTG means direct-to-garment. An inkjet process applies the design to a garment, with the required preparation and curing selected for the actual fabric and ink system.
A suitable cotton surface is a common starting point. Yarn, weave or knit texture, finish and garment colour still affect the result, so approve a print on the selected tee.
It can be considered on a suitable garment. Preparation and a white underbase may be needed; review print coverage, hand and any pretreatment appearance on the actual hoodie.
It can reproduce detailed colour artwork. The resolution of the supplied file, base colour and fabric surface affect the result. Approve small details at the final print dimensions.
No. DTG applies the print directly to the garment. Direct-to-film uses a printed transfer applied to it. Discuss the finish, substrate and artwork before choosing a route.
No blanket suitability should be assumed. Some systems support polyester with specific preparation. For a playing kit, compare the actual DTG route with sublimation and other finishes.
Yes, when the placement and garment construction allow it. Approve the print and embroidery together so their size, positioning, backing and care requirements are compatible.

Review the finish alongside the garment fit, labels and packing. Confirm the agreed revision and order conditions before bulk production.
