01 — In short
Why does a goalkeeper need a different kit?
The Laws of the Game require goalkeepers to wear colours that set them apart from the other players and the referee. Keeper shirts also have longer sleeves and elbow padding, because keepers dive and land on hard ground.
02 — Full spec
The typical spec.
Every line is checked with you and written on your spec sheet before a sample is made. Change anything to suit your design, market and budget.

03 — Choosing the fabric
Match fabrics compared.
The fabric decides how a kit feels, breathes and takes a print. These are the knits used most for team kits.
| Fabric | Typical weight | What it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Polyester interlock | 130–170 GSM | Smooth face. The best surface for sharp sublimation. |
| Birdseye mesh | 120–160 GSM | Small holes for airflow. A classic football shirt fabric. |
| Dazzle | 140–180 GSM | Shiny, tight knit. Typical for basketball and US sports. |
| Air-knit mesh | 180–240 GSM | Heavier, open knit. Used for ice hockey jerseys. |
| Polyester–elastane | 180–260 GSM | Stretch for fitted cuts: rugby, volleyball, handball. |
These are polyester or polyester blends, so they can be sublimated edge to edge.

Fibre names and percentages on the label under Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011. Care symbols to ISO 3758 are standard. REACH limits certain substances in textiles, such as some azo dyes.
United Kingdom

Kids' sizes
Drawstrings in children's clothing follow EN 14682 in Europe. In the US, children's products need CPSIA tracking labels, and hood drawstrings on children's upper outerwear are treated as a hazard (16 CFR 1120).
League rules
Leagues and governing bodies set their own kit rules, such as number sizes, colours and sponsor areas. Send your league rules with your enquiry and they go on your spec sheet.
07 — How ordering works
Brief, sample, then bulk.
Send your logo, colours, sizes and quantity for the goalkeeper kit. You get a written spec and quote, approve a sample, then your order is made, checked and packed under your label. Minimums and dates are confirmed in your quote.
Do you make keeper pants as well as shorts?
Yes. Keeper kits can come with shorts, 3/4 pants or full-length pants, with or without hip padding.
Can the keeper kit use the outfield design?
Yes. The same design can be made in a different colour, so the keeper stands out while the club look stays the same.
Are short sleeve keeper shirts available?
Yes. Short sleeve keeper shirts are popular for summer and indoor games, often worn over a base layer.
